From the Chief's Report 9/17/26

Fire Chief Tim Bonnee reported at the Monthly Board Meeting of the LMRFD:

·        LMRFD will be present at the Dolan Celebration October 3

·        The pancake breakfast/open house is scheduled for October 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Station 41

·        LMRFD will be present for the Fall Festival in Meadview October 29

·        LMRFD will host our annual Trunk or Treat at Station 41 October 29 from 4-7 pm

·        KAR picked up the full “Big Green Bin” of donated scrap metal and left an empty one in its place.  This will be an ongoing effort for as long as we want.

·        The 9/11 Tribute that the LMRFD did for all the fallen firefighters was a huge success and Chief is working on making it an annual event with even more participation going forward.

·        Chief and his Captains will be taking courses, Fire Instructor and Fire Officer series starting October 26-30 and December 7-11 respectively.

·        Chief reported that Employee Retention is currently running at 89%, up from 13% previously.

·        Chief reported a total of $134,373.67 billed for 4 Wildland Assignments so far this year.  LMRFD is first up for the next type 6 out of state assignment.

·        Chief reported one employee has completed tests for Paramedic and will be doing her ride time and Clinicals.
