The Big Green Bin
Fire Chief Tim Bonnee and Volunteer Coordinator Edgar Tolentino have made arrangements with KAR Recycling in Kingman to have the green bin placed behind the LMRFD Station #41 in Dolan for collection of metal. Proceeds will go to the Volunteer Scholarship Fund. ALL are invited to contribute your (cleaned) cans and scrap metal towards this community support of our LMRFD Volunteer Program.

Chief's Report for June 18 Board Meeting
Chief Bonnee reported that the gurney was received and put into service. There will be a dedication ceremony later. Chief expects to know about the side by side grant next month. He reported writing 2 FEMA grants for a new water tender and new extrication equipment, equivalent to about $750,000. He is looking at a new FEMA grant that e will be applying for that would provide 2 new command vehicles and new radios and portable repeaters to be able to use their radios anywher

LMRFD FIRE CHIEF TALK ON BURN BAN MAY 30 2026
Fire Chief Tim Bonnee addressed an audience of 20 at the Dolan Springs Community Council this morning, May 30, from 10:00 am to 11:15 am, primarily to provide information concerning the current burn ban. Due to critical fire weather conditions, including high temperatures, low humidity, dry vegetation, and sustained winds, Mohave County has enacted fire restrictions for all four Fire Zones within the unincorporated areas of the county. Community Development Block Grant
Our LMRFD Fire Chief Tim Bonnee applied for the CDBG Grant through Mohave County, for an upgrade to the fire station in Dolan. It would add 2 climate controlled bays with bathrooms that can be used for disaster relief shelter for our communities, among other things. The LMRFD has qualified and awaits the final determination by the County Board of Supervisors at their meeting this Tuesday, February 17. Power Gurney Update
Chief Bonnee reported at the January 15 Board meeting that Dolan Springs resident Michele Waldman is donating $10,000 to the Power Gurney for Meadview effort, leaving it short by approximately $6,300. Chief and the Financial Dept. reported at the December meeting a total of $5,469 received through Power Gurney fundraisers, promoted by Charlotte Kiffer and participated in by LMRFD personnel and Board members as well as donations by local businesses and individuals.
