Power Gurney Update

Chief Bonnee reported at the January 15 Board meeting that Dolan Springs resident Michele Waldman is donating $10,000 to the Power Gurney for Meadview effort, leaving it short by approximately $6,300. Chief and the Financial Dept. reported at the December meeting a total of $5,469 received through Power Gurney fundraisers, promoted by Charlotte Kiffer and participated in by LMRFD personnel and Board members as well as donations by local businesses and individuals. Chief Bonnee and his Administration have reached out to their contacts at Mohave County and they are looking for ways to help with the remaining funds needed to make the purchase. They will also be reaching out to local business owners. The Power Gurney originally researched has since been discontinued, and the next one in line costs more. It will include a maintenance and repair package.
